THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
  • Responsible for the origination of Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage loans, the sales and promotion of Spirit Mortgage, and the development and expansion of the First United Bank brand in West Texas communities.
  • Establish and maintain client referral relationships with realtors, builders and developers.
  • Make regular sales calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
  • Responsible for the overall customer interaction and communication with all parties involved on each loan from application to closing.
  • Keep informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market and the competitive environment as well as the ever-changing rules and regulations pertaining to the mortgage industry.
  • Participates in job specific training, various bank training programs, and complies with BSA, AML and all bank policies and procedures as required.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
  • 2+ years of mortgage lending experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field (Preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attentive and able to retain information
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in mortgage software applications such as origination software, DU/LPA, and other vendor software
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
