We are seeking an experienced mortgage loan officer with strong marketing, communication, and analysis skills to join our team and assist loan applicants in securing the ideal mortgage for their new home purchase. Responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction
  • Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners such as realtors, builders, bank colleagues, and the community at large
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all required documents from borrowers, loan officers, title companies and other related industry professionals
  • Manage a large pipeline of loans to ensure your production meets our requirements
  • Communicate a thorough understanding of different loan programs and closing costs to help prospective buyers make a decision

As a Mortgage Banker with us, you'll guide borrowers from application to close while also developing and maintaining strong referral networks. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Managing borrower relationships from inquiry to funding
  • Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline to meet production goals
  • Interfacing with processors, underwriters, real estate agents, title companies, and attorneys to ensure timely closings
  • Reviewing and gathering documentation to meet underwriting requirements
  • Monitoring each file for accuracy, compliance, and forward movement
  • Prospecting and nurturing relationships with Realtors, builders, and community partners
  • Stay focused on the craft of lending and do not lead Gen
  • Develop Top-Tier client experiences without drowning in pipeline chaos so that we create a referable experience every time

Qualifications:
  • Provide excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional decision-making ability
  • Several years of experience in real estate, mortgage origination, or lending required
  • Maintain current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System Registry
  • Familiarity with multiple types of loans such as conventional, fixed/ adjustable, FHA, VA, USDA, bridge, non-conforming, FNMA and FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations, and company underwriting policies and guidelines
  • Active NMLS Mortgage Originator License (required)
  • Proven experience in mortgage origination, real estate, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of lending regulations, underwriting guidelines, and borrower qualification standards
  • Proficiency in Office Suite and loan origination platforms (e.g., Calyx, Experian, LendingWise, a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred, or seasoned experience level
  • Excellent communication, client service, and time management skills
