Mortgage Funder
Department: Operations
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour
Description
The Funder is an intermediate level role within the Closing Department that is responsible for reviewing approved loan files, ensuring all closing conditions and funding requirements have been satisfied prior to disbursement. This role works closely with brokers, borrowers, title companies, and internal teams to coordinate timely and accurate loan funding while maintaining compliance with company and investor guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive final docs from escrow and verify all required fields have been completed
  • Verify all final closing conditions have been met
  • Provide underwriting all appropriate documentation to sign off and clear closing funds, ensuring the file is balanced.
  • Run and review the Mavent report to ensure accuracy and issue COCs as necessary.
  • Coordinate with warehouse bank to initiate and authorize the transfer of funds.
  • Verify that all prior to funding conditions have been satisfied.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to brokers and borrowers by providing timely communication, accurate loan status updates, and proactive resolution of funding-related inquiries.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
