Job Overview
Gigaphoton (ctrl/click for more information) is an industry leader advanced Excimer LASERs in Lithography sector of Semiconductor Industry.
Responsible for progressing through structured learning and on-the-job training to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and technical systems at customer sites. This role is designed to develop the foundational technical, safety, and customer service capabilities required for advancement to the Field Service Engineer position.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in structured training to develop technical proficiency in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, laser theory, parts identification, tooling, and installation procedures.
  • Assist with on-site installation, maintenance, and repair activities in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Learn to use required service tools, systems, and software, including Windows-based applications, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and designated technical analysis tools.
  • Research and help resolve hardware and software issues under the guidance of experienced field service personnel.
  • Support root cause analysis by gathering data, documenting findings, and contributing to corrective action planning as directed.
  • Provide logistics support, including moving parts into position at customer sites, coordinating shipment of parts, and documenting parts identification and replacement activity.
  • Maintain training schedules, track on-the-job development, and demonstrate continuous improvement in technical capability and job performance.
  • Communicate and escalate issues promptly to supervisors or designated team members to support timely problem resolution.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet business and customer requirements while maintaining compliance with all safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, military experience, or comparable technical training preferred.
  • Demonstrated aptitude, initiative, and willingness to learn in a technical service environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of laser theory, installation processes, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to learn and apply designated technical systems and analytical tools, including eGwork, Nettool, ReDeeM, Fabscape, macros, and related applications.
