What is a mortgage field inspection company?

Mortgage Field Inspection Companies are businesses that provide property inspection services on behalf of mortgage lenders, banks, or loan servicers. Their inspectors visit properties to verify occupancy, assess property condition, document damages, and ensure the property is being maintained. These inspections help lenders manage risk, especially for delinquent or foreclosed properties. The reports generated are used to make informed decisions about loans, foreclosures, or property preservation. Working with these companies can involve fieldwork, photography, and detailed reporting.
