Reverse & Forward Mortgage Post Closer

Join a company with 20 years of mortgage excellence! As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we're looking for an experienced Reverse & Forward Mortgage Post Closer to join our growing Operations team.

This role is responsible for reviewing closed loan files for accuracy, compliance, and completeness while ensuring all post-closing activities are completed efficiently and on time. You'll play a key role in managing post-closing conditions, obtaining trailing documents, facilitating investor delivery, and supporting both reverse and forward mortgage operations.

We're seeking a detail-oriented mortgage professional with a strong background in post-closing who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. While this position is primarily focused on post-closing, candidates with prior funding experience are highly valued, as they may have opportunities to assist with funding activities during peak volumes, team coverage, or other operational needs.

  • Review closed loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company, investor, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage post-closing conditions and resolve outstanding deficiencies.
  • Ensure timely receipt, review, and tracking of recorded documents, title policies, and other trailing documents.
  • Prepare and deliver loan files to investors, warehouse banks, and government agencies.
  • Track, research, and resolve post-closing suspense items and exceptions.
  • Maintain compliance with FHA, HUD, investor, and company guidelines.
  • Support quality control reviews, audits, and investor requests.
  • Collaborate with Operations team members to ensure timely loan delivery and exceptional service.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives that enhance efficiency and loan quality.
  • Provide support to both reverse and forward mortgage operations as business needs require.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of mortgage post-closing experience (required).
  • 3+ years of mortgage funding experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of reverse mortgage experience, including FHA HECM loans (required).
  • Experience with forward mortgage products, including conventional, government, and non-QM loans.
  • Strong understanding of investor delivery, warehouse bank, agency, and post-closing requirements.
  • Experience reviewing closing packages, title policies, recorded documents, and trailing documents.
  • Proficiency with Encompass, Quantum Reverse, or comparable mortgage loan origination systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
