Drive Revenue. Solve Problems. Build Your Career.
We're looking for a high-energy, competitive, and technically curious inside sales professional to join our team and help grow our motion control business. This is not a traditional "inside sales" role-you'll be at the center of customer relationships, technical problem-solving, and revenue generation.
If you want a position where your effort directly impacts your income, where you can learn complex technical systems, and where you have a clear path to advance into outside sales or leadership, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
Own Customer Engagement & Revenue Growth
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers, delivering fast, accurate, and solution-oriented support
  • Partner with outside sales to develop and win business within existing and new accounts
  • Identify opportunities to grow share of wallet and drive incremental revenue
  • Follow up aggressively on quotes and opportunities to convert to orders

Solve Technical Problems (Motion Control & Fluid Power)
  • Help customers select and apply products across motion control, fluid power, and related systems
  • Translate customer needs into practical, cost-effective solutions
  • Work with vendors and internal experts to solve application challenges
  • Continuously build your technical knowledge and product expertise

Quote, Close, and Execute
  • Create accurate, competitive quotes and proposals
  • Own the order process from quote to delivery, ensuring accuracy and urgency at every step
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations to deliver on customer expectations
  • Keep customers informed and eliminate surprises

Be the Engine Behind the Customer Experience
  • Deliver a level of responsiveness that sets you apart from competitors
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Maintain clean, accurate data in CRM/ERP systems
  • Support branch operations and keep information flowing

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Drive & Mindset
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Motivated by performance-based compensation

Skills & Experience
  • 1-5+ years of experience in inside sales, technical support, or industrial distribution
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude (experience with motion control, fluid power, automation, or similar is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships quickly
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Education (Preferred)
  • Degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Or equivalent hands-on industry experience

Compensation & Growth
  • Base salary + commission / performance incentives
  • Direct impact on earnings based on performance
  • Opportunity to work closely with experienced outside sales professionals
  • Clear path to:
    • Outside Sales / Account Management
    • Technical Specialist Roles
    • Sales Leadership

Why This Role Stands Out
  • You won't be stuck doing order entry - you'll be driving business and solving real problems
  • You'll gain exposure to complex technical applications and customers
  • You'll build a skillset that translates into high-value, long-term career growth
  • You'll be part of a team that values urgency, ownership, and results

Who Thrives Here
This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Likes winning business and beating competitors
  • Enjoys learning how things work and solving technical challenges
  • Takes pride in being the person customers rely on
  • Wants more than a "support role" and is looking for a career accelerator
