Job description

Orthopedic Foot/Ankle Surgeon Opportunity

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Orthopedic Foot/Ankle Surgeon at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) in California.

Details:

  • Great Patient Population
  • Out-Patient Clinic
  • Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0700 – 1600 hours, weekend and holidays.
  • Shifts provided between Monday through Friday will normally be scheduled for 8-hour period, not including an uncompensated 30-minute lunch break.
  • In no instance will the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) HCW be required to provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period.
  • No nights, no weekends, no holidays.
  • Call responsibilities include a minimum of two (2) overnight call shifts per month, and one (1) weekend call shift every three (3) months.
  • Overnight call coverage is defined as on-call availability from 1600 to 0700 the following morning.
  • Weekend call coverage is defined as continuous on-call availability from 0700 Friday through 0700 Monday. Following weekend call, the contractor shall provide post-call coverage on Monday from 0700 to 1600 to address any operative cases generated during the call period and to complete required clinical documentation and administrative duties.
  • Overage hours not to exceed 10 hours monthly with a maximum of 120 annual hours.

Job Requirements:

The position will have the following requirements:

  • Board Certified
  • Any State License
  • Successful completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency program and a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle
  • 24 months of experience in the past 36 months (residency training can be included)
  • BLS, ACLS
  • Salary to be determined but around $275-$285hr
