Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and budget-to-actual variance reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management functions.
  • Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury management activities.
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities.
  • Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements in coordination with external advisors.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor departmental spending and provide financial guidance to business leaders.
  • Support strategic planning through financial analysis and reporting.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting procedures and workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or MBA.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a medium size company.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in closing multiple company books and month-ends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification.
  • Experience with SAGE 50 and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Experience in home healthcare.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Board experience

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • In-office position.
  • Ability to work extended hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close periods.
