Key Responsibilities

- Curriculum Delivery: Give individualized and group Montessori presentations, carefully observe and record each child’s progress, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles.
- Community & Culture: Cultivate a peaceful, respectful classroom community utilizing positive discipline and grace and courtesy lessons.
- Parent Partnership: Build strong, collaborative relationships with families through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and school community events.
- Team Collaboration: Supervise, mentor, and work collaboratively with your classroom assistant to ensure a seamless, supportive daily rhythm.
- Professional Growth: Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development days, and—if currently in training—demonstrate progress toward completing your Montessori certification.
Qualifications & Experience
- Montessori Training: A completed Montessori diploma/certification for the Early Childhood/Primary level (ages 3–6) from a MACTE-accredited program (AMS, AMI, etc.), OR current enrollment in an active, accredited MACTE teacher-education program.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is highly preferred.

- Requirements: Ability to pass a Washington State comprehensive background check and meet early learning regulatory requirements (portable background check, TB test, MMR immunity proof, CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain).
What We Offer
- Competitive Compensation: Commensurate with education, certification level, and teaching experience.
- Prepared Environments: Fully equipped, beautiful classrooms with high-quality Montessori materials.
- Training Support: A supportive administrative environment that understands the balance required for teachers currently completing their training/practicum.
- Paid Time Off: Paid holidays, winter/spring breaks, and sick leave.
