Looking for more than just an assistant teaching position?

If you love working with young children and want to grow into a Montessori Lead Guide, we'd love to meet you.

At Montessori School of Silicon Valley (MSOSV), we're looking for caring, motivated educators who are excited to build a long-term career in authentic Montessori education. As a Preschool Assistant Teacher, you'll play an essential role in helping children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning-all while building the skills to one day lead your own Montessori classroom.

Why You'll Love Working Here

When you join MSOSV, you'll become part of a school community where:

  • Children are respected as capable, curious learners.
  • Teachers are encouraged, supported, and mentored.
  • Professional growth is part of our culture.
  • Collaboration and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Every day offers the chance to make a lasting impact on children's lives.

If your goal is to become a Montessori Lead Guide, we'll help you get there.

What You'll Do

As a Preschool Assistant Teacher, you'll:

  • Support the Lead Guide in creating a calm, beautiful, and engaging Montessori classroom.
  • Help children develop independence, concentration, confidence, and social skills.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and daily routines.
  • Observe children's growth and celebrate their accomplishments.
  • Model patience, respect, and grace and courtesy throughout the day.
  • Partner with your classroom team to provide a consistent, nurturing learning environment.
  • Gradually take on increased responsibilities as you grow professionally and explore the path toward becoming a Lead Guide.

Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • At least 12 ECE units (or are willing to complete them)
  • Experience working with children ages 3-6 (preferred)
  • A passion for early childhood education
  • An interest in learning authentic Montessori philosophy and practices
  • A desire to pursue Montessori certification and eventually become a Lead Guide
  • Strong organizational skills and a positive, dependable attitude
  • Patience, warmth, and a genuine love for helping children thrive

Montessori experience is welcome but not required. We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn, committed to growth, and excited to become part of our school community.

What We Offer

We believe exceptional educators deserve exceptional support.

Our benefits include:

  • Competitive pay
  • Medical & Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) with Employer Match
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • Tuition Reimbursement for continued education
  • Mentorship from experienced Montessori educators
  • A clear pathway toward Montessori certification and future Lead Guide opportunities
  • A collaborative, supportive school culture where your growth matters
