What You'll Do as Assistant Property Manager (APM)

As the right hand to the Property Manager, you'll keep things moving-from leasing and resident services to collections and community engagement. You'll help drive performance while serving others.

Your Core Responsibilities:

Property Operations & Resident Experience

  • Be the friendly face and go-to problem-solver for residents.
  • Manage service requests, renewals, events, and daily inquiries with warmth and professionalism.
  • Keep our office and files organized, up to date, and running efficiently.
  • Help ensure compliance with leases, HUD, Fair Housing, and company policies.

Financials & Collections

  • Accurately bill and collect rent and move-in charges.
  • Handle daily deposits and manage resident delinquencies like a pro.
  • Support former resident collections and help maintain healthy finances.

Marketing, Sales & Leasing

  • Market the property like a boss: online, in-person, and through outreach.
  • Give polished tours that convert leads into leases.
  • Process applications and prepare lease documents with precision.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the local rental market and bring ideas to the table.

Resident Retention & Community Engagement

  • Build genuine relationships with residents-turn "tenants" into neighbors.
  • Plan and host fun resident events that build community.
  • Lead the renewal process to keep occupancy high and residents happy.
