Job description

About Us
  • Niti Global Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is a pragmatic consulting firm bridging the gap between strategic policy insights and commercial decision-making. We provide high-stakes Risk Intelligence and data-driven Market Strategy to help global clients navigate complex geopolitical and economic landscapes with confidence.

About the Job
  • We are seeking a Senior Economic Policy Analyst specializing in US fiscal and monetary policy to join us on a project-by-project basis. In this flexible remote role, you will monitor US macroeconomic policy developments, analyze the intersection of fiscal statecraft and central bank mechanics, and author executive-grade policy briefs and strategic research reports to guide global client decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • High-Impact Briefs & Reports: Produce executive-ready policy briefs, flash memos, and in-depth research reports on US macroeconomic developments, focusing on economic sanctions, export controls, CFIUS investment reviews, debt ceiling dynamics, and FX/dollar liquidity.
  • Fed & Liquidity Forecasting: Draft forward-looking analytical reports on FOMC rate decisions, QE/QT trajectories, and official speeches to evaluate their impact on global capital flows.
  • Fiscal-Monetary Synergy: Assess the systemic interactions between fiscal policy actions (e.g., economic statecraft, trade measures) and monetary mechanics to deliver holistic risk assessments.
  • Strategic Policy Interpretation: Leverage established networks across government bodies and international financial institutions to interpret policy intent and provide high-level decision support for clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 7+ years of policy analysis or macroeconomic research experience within government agencies, former government roles, or international financial institutions (IFIs).
  • Policy Writing Track Record: Demonstrated experience authoring high-caliber policy briefs, executive memos, and strategic research reports for leadership or institutional audiences. (Writing samples required).
  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of US budgetary processes, Federal Reserve operations, sanctions frameworks, and international trade regulations.
  • Network & Education: Strong professional network within US government, regulatory, or international financial circles; Master’s or Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, Finance, or related field.
Bonus Points
  • Direct prior experience within key US economic policy entities.
  • Familiarity with macroeconomic databases.
Perks
  • Project-Based Flexibility: Complete autonomy to accept project assignments based on your schedule and availability.
  • Competitive Project Pay: Clear, deliverable-based compensation structure per report or brief, reflecting the depth and urgency of the assignment.
  • High-Impact Exposure: Direct influence on executive decision-making through high-visibility policy intelligence.
