This arrangement is often seen in industries or organizations that offer alternative work weeks for better work-life balance or operational efficiency. Hours worked per day may vary, but sometimes employees work slightly longer days to maintain a full-time workload in just four days. This schedule can help reduce commuting time and offer a longer weekend, appealing to many workers.

A 'Monday to Thursday' position typically involves working four consecutive weekdays, often with slightly longer daily hours to maintain full-time status. This schedule can offer an extended three-day weekend, providing more flexibility for personal commitments or rest.
