Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to provide care in an outpatient setting, ensuring flexibility in your schedule. The typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, but flexibility may be necessary to accommodate client needs. Our remote work setup is designed to support a healthy work-life balance while equipping you with the tools to interact with clients effectively using telehealth platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices, adapting interventions to create personalized treatment plans for each client.
  • Implement a range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other established treatment modalities to effectively address client issues.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals, to ensure integrated care for clients.
  • Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to share insights and improve the quality of care delivered to patients.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources in the community.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and research in mental health to continuously enhance your professional practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Wild Sun, you will work with a diverse group of individuals, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their specific needs and circumstances. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
  • Strong foundation in solution-based psychotherapy methods, enabling you to customize interventions for each patient's unique circumstances.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a strong ability to engage clients meaningfully.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking capabilities applicable to challenging counseling scenarios.
