Job Purpose and Responsibilities
The Facilities Cleaning Lead is responsible for supporting a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment across company facilities. This role leads daily cleaning activities, supports team members, monitors work quality, and helps ensure cleaning tasks are completed consistently and on schedule. The Facilities Cleaning Lead should be dependable, professional, and willing to work Monday through Friday until 7:00 PM.
Responsibilities
  • Daily Cleaning Operations: Lead and participate in daily cleaning tasks to ensure facilities are clean, organized, and ready for use.
    • Complete assigned cleaning duties, including offices, restrooms, break areas, common spaces, and other facility areas.
    • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and on time each day.
    • Monitor supplies and notify the appropriate person when items need to be restocked.
  • Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day guidance and support to cleaning team members.
    • Help assign tasks and ensure team members understand daily priorities
    • Set a positive example through reliability, professionalism, and strong work habits
    • Support a team-oriented work environment and help resolve minor issues when needed
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
    • Inspect work areas to confirm cleaning standards are being met
    • Follow company safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
    • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment promptly.
  • Communication and Accountability: Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and other departments as needed.
    • Provide updates on cleaning progress, supply needs, or facility concerns
    • Help ensure daily expectations are understood and followed by the team
    • Maintain a dependable attendance record and consistently meet scheduled work hours.

Education and Experience
  • Previous cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or facilities experience preferred
  • Prior lead, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred
  • Experience using cleaning equipment and safely handling cleaning supplies is helpful.

Other Requirements
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday until 7:00 PM
  • Must demonstrate dependable attendance and consistent follow-through
  • Must be professional, responsible, and able to lead by example
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $22.50 - $27.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
