About the Women & Children Program
The Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.
What You'll Do
  • Serve food for clients enrolled in ReDiscover's residential substance use disorder programs, ensuring quality and consistency in presentation and taste.
  • Order and maintain appropriate inventory of food and supplies for designated residential housing and IOP Program to support uninterrupted meal service.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors regarding program needs.
  • Operates a variety of commercial kitchen equipment including freezers, refrigerators, dish machines, steam tables, warmers, ovens, burners, microwave ovens, fryers, tilt-tables, mixers, dicers/slicers, utensils, can openers, and institutional coffee makers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area to ensure a safe and hygienic food preparation environment.

Requirements of the Position
  • Availability to work a part time schedule (20 hours per week) Monday - Friday 10:00am-2:00pm; all new hires are required to attend a one-week ReDiscover orientation as part of the onboarding process.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of cooking experience with quantities of 100 or greater or completion of cooking school is preferred.
  • Hospital catering experience is preferred; hotel and restaurant experience will also be considered.
  • Requires basic to Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.
