Job description

An exceptional and established Detroit millwork manufacturer seeks a laborer interested in working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment. Candidate will be responsible for assisting Lead Moulder Operator in the the quality of wood moulding manufacturing. Candidates must have exceptionally strong mechanical & problem solving abilities to master a complex machine, or must enjoy working with wood and have a desire to learn and/or be taught. The right candidate will be highly motivated and training will be provided. Primary duties will include measuring, counting and moving finished product, as well as cleaning and maintaining the work area.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be able to

(1) read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch

(2) carry heavy loads up to 75 pounds

(3) work as a team player in a fast paced environment

(4) follow direction from warehouse management as required

(5) arrive on time for every day of your shift excluding illness and vacations

Public Lumber's manufacturing process is a team effort, so the chosen candidate will also be expected to assist other machine operators and perform other duties as needed.
