Job Title: Molder

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Molder.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and smooth molds, cores, and core boxes, and repair surface imperfections.
• Assemble cores into lower sections of molds, to create mold assembly per work instructions.
• Tend machines that bond cope and drag together to form completed molds.
• Operate molding machines and related equipment to produce quality products.
• Inspect cores for defects and report and issues to the supervisor.
• Clean and maintain work area to ensure safe and efficient work environment.
• Work to meet production goals and deadlines
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
• Use labor tracking system on all daily functions (log in on jobs and log out)
• Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge

Position Requirements

• Ability to perform quality checks and inspections on molds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physical dexterity to detail and ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced
• Knowledge in reading and interpreting work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Good communication skills
