  • Position: Quality Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding)
  • Location: Hudson, MA (on-site)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (based on business needs)
  • Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 (Dependent on Experience)

The Opportunity: This is not a passive quality role. We are looking for a hands-on leader who will take ownership of quality performance, challenge the status quo, and drive measurable improvements across our injection molding operations. You’ll play a key role in upholding PMM’s reputation for excellence by driving quality standards that meet and exceed customer expectations. 
Essential Functions:
  • Lead quality strategy and execution across injection molding operations.
  • Formatting quality plans, contract reviews, and launching new products to the floor.
  • Providing timely communication and delivery of test reports to customers.
  • Investigating and resolving quality issues by implementing corrective actions.
  • Developing and controlling inspection plans for molding and secondary operations.
  • Supporting and enforcing the ISO 9001:2015 management system.
  • Utilizing and programming the CMM, Micro-Vu, optical comparators, and hand-held measuring equipment.
  • Assisting team with all quality tests.
  • Mentor and develop quality team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex manufacturing and quality challenges.

Ideal Candidate Experience:
  • Proven experience in testing plastics injection molding products.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Previous blueprint experience and GD&T knowledge.
  • FAI (First Article Inspection) & PPAP understanding.
  • Prior programming and use of PC-DMIS for CMM.
  • Be a team-oriented professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability read, write, and communicate in English.

Physical Demands of position:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, or maneuvering.
  • Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment.
