Summary of Role:
The Global Asset Performance Team (GAP) is looking for a Global Etch Module lead to work in concert within Central Engineering and our worldwide Fabs in leading and driving improvements and standardization towards competitive cost, productivity, and quality. The location for this position could be from any of GlobalFoundries locations across US, DRS, or SGP

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive globalcost,productivity, and qualityimprovement opportunities with our worldwide Fabs.

  • Standardize and optimize procedures, measurements, approaches, and driveglobal,cross-Fabimprovements in, e.g., fault-detection/classification (FDC), test-wafer usage, and preventive-maintenance (PM) procedures.

  • Be an influential global contact and leader for OneGFEtchtopics and drive meaningful dialog, resulting in the identification and implementation of best-known-methods (BKMs) across sites.

  • Bring subject-matter experts (SMEs) together and drive benchmarking, brainstorming, and actions taking towards improved Module/Operations performance.

  • Drive comprehensive benchmarking & gap assessments between Fabs with a structured, methodical approach, establish clear improvement strategies including help from sister Fabs, and roll-up status, progress, and plans succinctly to executive management.

  • Drive standardization and optimization of key BKMs,visuals, procedures / approaches that enable us to drive faster, more efficient improvements in productivity, cost, quality across ourworldwide Etch Modules.

  • Own and lead Etch tooling roadmaps in collaboration with our Fabs and Procurement/IE, to support our longer-term tooling & business strategy.

  • Collaborate closely with the Fab Modules, Ops/Manufacturing, global central engineering/ GSM / IE/ Finance / Qualityteams, and any other organizations needed to improve our Fab operations.

  • Be a true partner and independent arbiter to our Fabs to maximize wafer outputs with our existing assets while balancing cost and quality aspects.

  • Be a role model for true OneGF interactions and the powerful impact this has on GF's bottom line.

  • Work with cross function teams to address yield improvement, excursions and best practices across fabs.

  • Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to improve performance indices.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements

  • Work and collaborate across other projects and/or assignments as needed to improve maintenance input cost.

  • Increased knowledge plus broader technical knowledge in areas outside of his or her area of expertise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education -Bachelors degree in Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent experience

  • Strong background in Semiconductor process, modules and/or Operations/Manufacturing, extensive knowledge of semiconductor processing, operations, & understanding of equipment.

  • Language Fluency - English (written & verbal)

  • Travel ~20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. in Engineering or Science (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering)

  • Deep technical knowledge of Semiconductor tools and processing and/or Operations/Manufacturing.

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various technical and Executive leadership teams.

  • People leadership experience
