Job Description

Russo Modular is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, motivated Lead Ironworker / Steel Erection Foreman to join our team. This is more than a senior ironworker position - we need a proven leader who can read the plans, take control of a crew, maintain quality, and get steel erected safely and on schedule. The right person has a track record of setting goals, hitting them consistently, earning the respect of the people they lead, and building a crew that performs.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret structural blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Layout, assemble, fit, and erect structural steel for modular buildings
  • Lead and supervise a crew of 4-5 ironworkers
  • Assign daily work and maintain crew productivity
  • Oversee QA/QC, ensuring structural work meets drawings and specifications
  • Inspect and oversee the quality of welds throughout the modular structure, ensuring welds meet required standards and specifications
  • Identify and correct quality or welding issues before they impact production
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineering, and other trades
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and accountability
  • Keep projects moving with the goal of meeting or beating deadlines
  • Bring energy and urgency to the job and look for ways to help Russo Modular increase capacity and grow
  • Develop a team culture where people take pride in their work, respect their leader, and hold themselves accountable
  • Set clear production goals, drive the crew toward them, and consistently deliver results
  • Build credibility with the crew through knowledge, consistency, fairness, and a willingness to lead from the front
  • Lead by example and hold the crew accountable for performance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of ironworking or structural steel erection experience preferred
  • Proven crew leadership or supervisory experience with a demonstrated record of meeting production goals
  • Strong ability to read and interpret structural blueprints
  • Knowledge of steel erection, layout, fitting, bolting, rigging, welding, and installation
  • Strong understanding of structural weld quality and proper welding practices
  • Strong leadership presence, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to earn respect while holding people to a high standard
  • Safety-minded, dependable, competitive, motivated, and results-driven

Grow With Russo Modular

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced ironworker who wants to build a strong crew, own the results, and grow with a rapidly expanding company.

We want a leader who takes ownership, leads from the front, commands respect through performance and consistency, solves problems, maintains high quality, and does not make excuses when a goal needs to be reached.
