Job description

In-House Mechanic & Maintenance Technician

Russo Modular | Full-Time

KEEP THE EQUIPMENT RUNNING. KEEP THE OPERATION MOVING.

Russo Modular is looking for a hands-on, experienced Mechanic & Maintenance Technician who knows how to diagnose a problem, fix it right, and get equipment back to work.

This isn't a job where you'll spend every day doing the same repair. You'll be our go-to in-house mechanic, working on a variety of company vehicles, trailers, equipment, machinery, tools, and other maintenance needs that keep our operation running.

If you're the kind of person who hears "it's not working" and immediately wants to figure out why, we want to talk to you.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

No two days will look exactly the same. You'll be responsible for keeping our equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work, including:

  • Company vehicles and trucks
  • Trailers
  • Construction and industrial equipment
  • Machinery and shop equipment
  • Hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Tools and other company equipment

You'll handle everything from routine preventive maintenance to troubleshooting unexpected breakdowns and getting equipment back into service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, fluid changes, and lubrication
  • Repair and replace brakes, bearings, hoses, belts, batteries, tires, and other components
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and get equipment back up and running quickly
  • Identify problems before they turn into bigger, more expensive repairs
  • Keep accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Maintain an organized shop, tools, and parts inventory
  • Identify equipment that isn't safe to operate and communicate repair needs
  • Handle occasional field repairs when equipment can't come to you
  • Jump in on other facility and maintenance needs when needed
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, productive operation

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're not looking for someone who just changes parts. We're looking for a problem solver.

Someone who can look at a piece of equipment, figure out what's wrong, determine what it needs, and take ownership of getting it fixed.

You'll be a great fit if you are:

  • Mechanically skilled and comfortable troubleshooting
  • Experienced with vehicles, trailers, construction equipment, industrial equipment, or similar machinery
  • Familiar with basic electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment
  • Able to work independently without someone constantly looking over your shoulder
  • Organized and able to prioritize repairs based on what's most important to the operation
  • Dependable, resourceful, and safety-conscious
  • Willing to jump in and help when something needs to get done

Previous experience as a mechanic, fleet mechanic, equipment technician, heavy-equipment mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar hands-on role is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. This is an active, hands-on position that requires the ability to lift, bend, climb, and work safely around vehicles, machinery, and equipment.

WHY RUSSO MODULAR?

Variety. Ownership. Steady work.

This is an opportunity to have your own area of responsibility and become an important part of keeping Russo Modular moving.

We offer:

  • Full-time, steady work
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • A wide variety of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to work on
  • A hands-on work environment
  • Independence and ownership of your work
  • The opportunity to solve real problems and see the results of your work
  • Opportunity to grow with Russo Modular
  • Health / Dental after 90 days of employment
  • 401K with company match after 90 days

READY TO GET TO WORK?

If you're the person people call when something breaks—and you take pride in figuring out the problem and fixing it right—we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today to join Russo Modular as our In-House Mechanic & Maintenance Technician.
