Job description

The Lead Modular Installer is a senior-level specialist responsible for executing complex modular furniture installations with precision and professionalism. This role requires advanced technicalย expertiseย in interpreting system furniture layouts,ย modifyingย configurations, and integrating electrical, phone, and data components.ย Leads on-site installation efforts, including troubleshootingย and ensuring quality standards are met across all phases of the project.ย 

In addition to technical execution, the lead Installer serves as a mentor and crew lead, providing guidance and hands-on training to Installer I and II team members. This role supports crew coordination, fosters skill development, and promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.ย 


  • Disassemble and reassemble all types of standard office furniture and conference tables.ย 
  • Modify system furniture layouts and advise clients on configuration options.ย 
  • Gang and level file cabinets to ensure proper alignment and stability.ย 
  • Troubleshoot electrical, phone, and data connections within modular systems.ย 
  • Read and interpret customer CAD prints and system furniture diagrams.ย 
  • Document existing furniture layouts using placard drawings.ย 
  • Install wall-mounted items including whiteboards, corkboards, and TVs.ย 
  • Assess and applyย appropriate mountingย hardware based on weight and surface type.ย ย 
  • Lead installation crews of up to 8 team members.ย 
  • Mentor and train Installer I and II team members.ย 
  • Maintainย high standardsย of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.ย 

  • Minimumย 9ย months asย Modular Installerย with completion ofย level IIย certificationย 
  • Ability to work independently and follow layout instructions.ย 
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver furniture components.ย 
  • Proficiencyย in reading CAD prints and system furniture layouts.ย 
  • Advanced knowledge of modular furniture systems and power integration.ย 
  • Leadership experience in crew coordination and training.ย ย 
  • Strong problem-solving and client communication skills.ย 
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand Englishย
