Employees may work on road construction, managing traffic operations, inspecting bridges, or supporting public transportation initiatives. MoDOT offers competitive benefits and career growth opportunities for those interested in public service and transportation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the MoDOT position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a MoDOT (Missouri Department of Transportation) worker, you need a solid understanding of highway maintenance, construction methods, and safety procedures, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Familiarity with tools and equipment such as snow plows, dump trucks, and traffic control devices is typically required, and certifications like a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) are highly valued.
