Job description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Norfolk, VA. The Project Manager will oversee shipboard maintenance and modernization projects from planning through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met. Daily responsibilities include coordinating work packages, managing resources and subcontractors, tracking progress, and resolving technical and logistical issues in collaboration with expeditors, inspectors, and logistics personnel. The role involves preparing and maintaining project documentation, status reports, and schedules, while ensuring compliance with government contract requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations. The Project Manager will regularly communicate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to align expectations, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in project execution.

Qualifications

  • Strong project oversight capabilities, including Project Management skills and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder industrial or maritime projects.
  • Experience with Expeditor and Expediting functions, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to support project schedules.
  • Inspection expertise, with the ability to coordinate, review, and document quality checks on shipboard repair, maintenance, and modernization activities.
  • Logistics Management skills, including planning, coordinating, and optimizing material handling, warehousing, and transportation in an industrial or shipyard environment.
