Job description

** 3rd Shift Friday - Sunday 5am-5:30pm*** 10% differential. Work 36 get paid 40**

** Sign-On Bonus: $4000. 1st half paid after 30 days, and 2nd half paid after 60 days.***

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
  • Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
  • Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working properly and work-pieces meet quality standards.
  • Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive vibration.
  • Measures dimensions of finished work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
  • Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
  • Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.
  • Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
  • 5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
  • Basic Blueprint Reading.
  • Documentation and Modern’s Production System.
  • Inspection Techniques for Machinists. SPC Charts and Tools. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Adjusting Boring heads.
