Position Overview

Sunshine Counseling & Recovery Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at our clinic, your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to address specific client needs and goals.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Diagnose mental health disorders and provide appropriate therapy to a diverse client population.
• Maintain accurate client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
• Refer clients to specialists when necessary to ensure holistic care.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and share effective treatment strategies.
• Stay updated on best practices, legal regulations, and emerging trends in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with range from individuals facing emotional struggles to families dealing with complex relational dynamics. Specifically, your focus may include cases such as:

• Alcohol abuse and addiction recovery
• Physical and psychological trauma
• Grief and loss issues
• Familial conflicts, including sibling rivalry and cut-offs
• Adjustments related to separation and divorce
• Challenges faced by blended families
• Work-related stress and coping strategies for medical issues

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to create rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

• Experience in telehealth delivery of counseling services.
• Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
• Previous experience addressing issues related to addiction, trauma, and family dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, Sunshine Counseling offers a robust benefits package, including:
