Kelso Building Services (KBS) is seeking highly motivated Digital Building Operations Specialists to join our state-of-the-art Kelso Digital Operations Center (DOC) in Ogden, Utah.
This is not a traditional HVAC or Building Automation position.
Our DOC serves as a 24/7 command center supporting commercial real estate, healthcare facilities, data centers, manufacturing facilities, educational campuses, industrial facilities, and critical environments throughout North America.
If you have experience in HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), Facilities Operations, Data Centers, Industrial Controls, Electrical Systems, Critical Facilities, or Smart Building Technologies and want to work in a modern technology-driven environment, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
What You'll Do
As a Digital Building Operations Specialist, you will remotely monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize building systems from our advanced operations center.
Responsibilities include:
  • Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and facility infrastructure across multiple customer sites
  • Analyze alarms and system performance data
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, controls, electrical, and facility system issues remotely
  • Support Niagara, Metasys, Desigo, Delta Controls, Honeywell, Distech, KMC, Reliable Controls, and other BAS platforms
  • Identify operational issues before they become equipment failures
  • Utilize Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) and AI-assisted analytics tools
  • Coordinate dispatch activities with field service technicians
  • Create service tickets and escalation reports
  • Support customer communication and incident response activities
  • Assist with system health reporting and performance analysis
  • Participate in OT cybersecurity monitoring and best practices
  • Document findings, recommendations, and corrective actions

  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
  • Computer proficiency and comfort using multiple software applications simultaneously
