Job description

Garver’s Water Infrastructure – Modeling, Analytics, and Planning Team, a resource group focused on hydraulic modeling, master planning, alternatives analysis, and conceptual design of water supply, water transmission, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems is seeking a Water Hydraulic Modeling Intern to join our team. This intern will gain real-world experience in modeling and planning for water and wastewater systems while working in a fast-paced, professional setting. Join our group of professionals who are working with communities across Garver’s footprint and are developing solutions for their water and wastewater needs. 
Internship Description:  
  • Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.   
  • Gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience through assisting with a wide array of water and wastewater projects.   
  • Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers.   
  • Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.   
  • Visit some of Garver’s Water project sites.

Requirements: 
  • Candidates must be pursuing a civil or environmental engineering bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited program.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  
  • Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.  
Preferred skills:  
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Experience with Fluid Mechanics, Water Resources, and/or Open Channel Hydraulics.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
