Job description

Ingomar (North Hills) Location only - Bruster's of Ingomar is a locally owned and operated franchise of Bruster's Real Ice Cream in McCandless. We are in need of upbeat energetic individuals who are interested in learning the ins and outs of the ice cream experience. As an ice cream maker at Bruster's you will be required to learn and carry out the following tasks:
Part-time in Winter/Colder months
Full-time in Summer/Warmer months
- Maintain attention to detail
- Make ice cream batches according to Bruster's recipe book
- Measure ingredients accurately
- Operate ice cream batch freezers & related equipment
- Follow proper food handling & cleaning procedures
- Follow necessary inventory systems
A food service background is helpful but not necessary. Basic computer skills are necessary.
Hours are flexible, you can make your own schedule with the other ice cream maker. 
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to taste or smell.
Employee must be able to maneuver in a tight and sometimes congested working environment, both quickly and without creating a hazard.
Position requires lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
