Job description

Summary

Provides design function by performing the following duties. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Not all duties will be performed on a day-to-day basis. May only specialize in one or two of these areas of focus; Other duties may be assigned.

  • Core Duties:
    • Read/interpret RX, workorders, and special instructions for design and scanning.
    • Proficient in dental anatomy/terminology.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines, while consistently producing a quality device and/or scans
  • 3D Print:
    • Loading files for 3D printers and manage them in the most efficient way possible.
    • Ability to keep printers clean and do routine service to keep them up and always running.
    • Feeding materials to the printers and keeping track of material inventory.
    • Postprocess of printed models and sort them to the according pans and deliver cases to the next destinations.
    • Dispose of all chemical waste materials correctly and safely and keep the area clean.
  • 3D Scan:
    • Ability to download and obtain digital files from different portals and locate them for the right case
    • Ability to keep scanners clean and do routine service to keep them up and always running.
    • Scanning cases accurately and sharing the files for designers; follow work instructions and regulations.
  • Digital Model Prep and QC:
    • Ability to download and obtain digital files from different portals and locate them for the right case.
    • Prep models and export them for printing while following RX/Workorders and other design instructions.
    • Consider all terms and regulations of incoming QC.
    • Adequately document QC checks/notes and evidence for failed cases in QC to TSR and for the Dr.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.  Proficient understanding of basic Solidworks, AutoCad, drafting skills a plus. Proficient in dental anatomy/terminology and/or Model processes preferred. Excellent computer skills, communication and problem-solving skills

 

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence.
  • Ability to write simple notes.

 

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
