Job Description:

Job Summary:

Under the director of the Assistant Beverage Manager and Beverage Manager serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests throughout the property ensuring a positive guest experience and is responsible for training of Cocktail Servers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Take guest orders, serves drinks and collects monies in a courteous and efficient manner. Adhere to cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction in assigned areas and other areas if necessary.
  • Adhere to state liquor laws and TIPS training guidelines.
  • Keep bar and service area clean, sanitary and organized at all times.
  • Adhere to beverage control procedures.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Promote positive guest and team member relations.
  • Acts as a role model for the department and an ambassador of the service culture.
  • Conducts one-on-one training of new hire Cocktail Servers, answer employee questions, ensure that the task inventories are complete, including testing (by observation) employees on each of the following tasks: taking guest orders, serving drinks, collecting monies, cash handling procedures, organization and sanitation of the bar and service area, beverage control procedures.
  • Assists in the development and/or delivery of training.
  • Is prepared for training assignments at any given time, without advanced notice.
  • Maintenance of task inventory, training materials, SOPs and side work for Cocktail Servers.
  • Ensures that employees are immediately retrained when SOP certification is not achieved.
  • Maintains the library of SOP’s and ensure that the information is up-to-date and readily available to all Beverage staff.
  • Conducts monthly active testing and gain feedback on how well employees are retaining material.
  • Ensures Alcohol Awareness Training Certifications for all Cocktail Servers on an ongoing basis.
  • Schedules and conducts frequent training session, including re-fresher sessions to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required along with one (1) year of high volume cocktail service experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience, and 6 months as a Casino Cocktail Server with Seminole Gaming. Must be eighteen (18) years of age. Casino experience preferred.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
