Model Based System Engineer- Ground Combat Systems
Sterling Heights, MI
Contract Position
$79.70 - $80.42/Hour
We are hiring a Senior MBSE Systems Engineer in Sterling Heights, MI, to support advanced Ground Combat Systems digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives for mission-critical military vehicle platforms. This role requires expertise in Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML, requirements decomposition, digital engineering integration, MBSE architecture development, and Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) supporting next-generation armored combat vehicle programs.
Responsibilities:
  • MBSE Model Guidance: Lead the program team in developing functional and non-functional requirements using MBSE models and structures.
  • Requirements Decomposition: Support the development and linking of SysML artifacts such as Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Block Definition Diagrams (BDDs), and Internal Block Diagrams (IBDs).
  • Data Architecture & Model Libraries: Guide the team in the creation and maintenance of data models and libraries based on the Ground Combat System (GCS) Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA).
  • Metrics and Tracking: Build and maintain MBSE-based metrics for program tracking, such as Trade Studies, Risks, and Design Decision Memorandums (DDMs).
  • Digital Engineering Support: Contribute to initiatives to connect digital engineering tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Cameo, MADe) for a seamless engineering environment.
  • Development of Style Guides: Create style guides for MBSE areas.
  • Support Program CDRLs: Ensure MBSE processes align with contract requirements for digital engineering.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent technical degree).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in a related engineering role, with strong experience in vehicle systems engineering.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Cameo experience is required (likely referring to Cameo Systems Modeler, a tool used for MBSE).
  • Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance is required.
