What is a mobster?

Mobsters, also known as gangsters, are individuals who are involved in organized crime. They typically operate within criminal organizations, such as the Mafia, and participate in illegal activities like extortion, racketeering, gambling, and drug trafficking. Mobsters are known for their strict codes of conduct, loyalty to their organization, and use of violence or intimidation to maintain control and influence. The term 'mobster' often evokes images of notorious crime figures in history, especially during the early to mid-20th century in the United States.
