Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology / Cardiology X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years experience and Level II trauma experience required in a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.

Details
  • Work in the X-Ray Tech unit of an acute care teaching hospital
  • Perform a wide range of radiographic exams including abdomen, upper and lower extremity, chest, spine, pelvis, and head studies
  • Perform trauma imaging including trauma upper/lower extremity, trauma shoulder/humerus, and trauma cases
  • Conduct fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, and upper GI series
  • Perform mobile and surgical imaging including C-Arm procedures, O-ARM, portable abdomen, and portable chest
  • Utilize GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment along with PACS system
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Saturday rotation required approximately every 5th-6th week
  • Holiday and standby call may be required based on operational need
  • Floating required as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience required
  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT-R certification required
  • BLS certification required through American Heart Association only
  • State license required if applicable
  • Level I trauma experience preferred
  • Level II trauma experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Experience with contrast media preparation and/or administration preferred
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required

  • Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center
  • Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility, local candidates not accepted
