Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator to support the Site Operations function in Huntington Beach, CA!

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform typical work of moving and packing heavy material, machinery and equipment.
  • Cleaning, washing and applying protective coating to paint booths and racks, removing paint from plant equipment.
  • Move obsolete or out of production tooling from factory floor to storage, moving patterns, mockups, dies and other tooling from one factory location to another.
  • Required to use individual initiative and to work without specific instructions and immediate supervision to accomplish given tasks properly, in required time and without causing avoidable damage or delay.
  • Forklift and Overhead Crane Operations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Export Control Requirements:
To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Do you meet this requirement?
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • More than 1 year of experience using PTA {Parts Tracking & Accountability) for pick up and deliveries of package throughout the site.
  • More than 1 year of experience with various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes .
  • Are you an active member of the IAM 725 union
  • Is your current work location in Huntington Beach, CA

Typical Education / Experience:
High school graduate or GED. Prefer a minimum of one (1) or more years of related work experience.
Additional Information:
  • This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.

Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
