Location: St. Charles Automotive Group - St. Charles, Missouri
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
St. Charles Automotive is expanding our Mobile Service team and looking for a motivated technician that is ready to take their career to the next level. Unlike a traditional shop role, this position is 100% field-based. You'll operate a fully equipped service van, performing light maintenance and repairs directly at customer homes, businesses, and fleet locations. It's the perfect fit for someone who values independence, variety, and direct customer interaction - with the backing of a respected, family-owned dealer group.
Whether you're just starting in the industry or an experienced technician, we provide paid training, certification opportunities, and clear growth paths from Mobile Service Tech to Senior Master Technician.
What You'll Do
  • Spend most of your workday on the road, providing maintenance and repairs in a mobile service van.
  • Perform a wide range of services: oil changes, tire rotations, filters, batteries, recalls, and software updates.
  • Operate and maintain a fully stocked and organized mobile service unit.
  • Deliver a great customer experience by being professional, thorough, and proactive in explaining work performed.
  • Accurately document repair orders, follow MPI/VCU processes, and identify additional service opportunities and present them to customers.
  • Partner with the Mobile Service Coordinator and Service Advisors to schedule jobs, order parts, and ensure timely completion.
  • Uphold dealership safety standards and represent the St. Charles Automotive brand in the field.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly pay with performance-based incentives.
  • Company-paid health insurance plus dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
  • Paid holidays, vacation, and your birthday off.
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit.
  • Paid training and advancement opportunities - grow into leadership or specialty roles.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company support.
  • A professional, supportive, and respectful work environment.
  • Fully equipped service van and dealership-provided tools.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous automotive technician experience (1-3 years preferred).
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and customer-first mindset.
  • Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and diagnostics.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing to complete pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • ASE certifications are a plus - and we'll help you earn them.
Why Join Mobile Service?
