Job description

Security Officer Duties & Requirements
The Security Officer is responsible for securing the premises, protecting personnel, and maintaining a safe environment by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and controlling entry onto the property.
Duties include responding to emergencies by sounding alarms and obtaining assistance, preventing loss or damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and addressing trespassers when necessary. The officer may also assist with traffic control by directing drivers and maintaining order in designated areas.
The Security Officer is expected to complete detailed reports by documenting observations, incidents, surveillance activity, witness statements, and required signatures. Additional responsibilities include monitoring building systems and equipment controls, supporting preventive maintenance procedures, reporting equipment malfunctions, and assisting with improvements to security operations.
Candidates must be reliable, dependable, and able to conduct consistent patrols. They must have a working understanding of mobile security patrol applications, communicate exceptionally well, and demonstrate a strong history of professionalism, accountability, and consistent work ethic.
Duties & Requirements
