Position Summary
MFort Security Services is seeking a dependable and professional Second Shift Mobile Patrol Officer to patrol multiple residential apartments in the O'Hare area of Chicago. This position requires an experienced security professional who can work independently, maintain a visible security presence, and proactively identify and report security concerns.
The Mobile Patrol Officer will utilize a company vehicle to conduct scheduled patrols, complete security scans, inspect properties, and respond to client concerns while ensuring the safety and security of residents, guests, and property.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of residential properties in the O'Hare area
โ€ข Monitor properties for suspicious activity, safety hazards, trespassing, vandalism, and unauthorized persons
โ€ข Complete required patrol verification scans using electronic checkpoint/tag systems, which may require exiting the vehicle and walking designated areas
โ€ข Conduct routine inspections of parking lots, garages, common areas, building perimeters, and amenity spaces
โ€ข Ensure all assigned properties remain secure and report unusual activity immediately
โ€ข Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and patrol logs
โ€ข Respond to resident concerns, client requests, and security-related issues in a professional manner
โ€ข Maintain communication with Operations Manager, property management, and fellow team members throughout the shift
โ€ข Safely operate a company vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
โ€ข Perform lock checks, door inspections, and other site-specific security duties as assigned
โ€ข Adhere to all company policies, post orders, and client procedures
โ€ข Perform additional duties as required by site management or MFort supervisors
Qualifications
โ€ข Must be at least 21 years of age
โ€ข High school diploma or GED required
โ€ข Must possess a valid Illinois PERC Card
โ€ข Must possess a 20-Hour Security Training Certificate or be able to obtain one
โ€ข Minimum of 2 years of mobile patrol security experience required
โ€ข Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
โ€ข Must successfully pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review
โ€ข Experience operating company vehicles in a professional capacity preferred
โ€ข Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
โ€ข Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
โ€ข Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
โ€ข Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and conduct patrols for extended periods
โ€ข Ability to enter and exit a vehicle frequently throughout the shift
โ€ข Must be comfortable driving for extended periods throughout the shift
โ€ข Must be able to reliably travel to and from the O'Hare area for each scheduled shift
โ€ข Must pass a drug screening and background check
Schedule & Compensation
โ€ข Location: O'Hare Area / Northwest Chicago
โ€ข Schedule: Sunday through Wednesday
