Service Technician – Lead Residential and Commercial HVAC Field Operations


Job Overview

  • Company: AireServ of Northeast Georgia
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $24 to $34 per hour plus Commission, Overtime Potential, and Project Completion Bonuses.
  • Location: Clarkesville, GA (Daily Travel Required).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Primary Working Location: Day begins in Office
  • Project Scope: Commercial Refrigeration, Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Diagnostics, Maintenance, and System Upgrades.
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's License, EPA 608 Certification.


The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital field professional, driving the diagnostic, repair, and maintenance operations for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role allows you to leverage a national brand's training resources to accelerate your technical expertise and career advancement. You will have the autonomy to solve complex mechanical issues on-site while enjoying the support of a dedicated local office team.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Deliver a world-class customer experience by clearly communicating diagnostic findings and system options.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential split, package, and ductless mini-split HVAC systems efficiently.
  • Advise clients on critical system upgrades, air quality improvements, and preventative maintenance service plans.
  • Maintain an exceptionally professional image and consistently execute the branded front-line service system.
  • Manage accurate digital documentation of service calls and system metrics using company-provided mobile devices.
  • Resolve real-time technical field challenges safely while operating in demanding spaces like attics and crawl spaces.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven field experience performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on residential HVAC systems.
  • Active EPA 608 certification required at the time of hire to transport, handle, and work with regulated refrigerants in the field. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for direct, professional customer interactions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly during standard equipment service operations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required to operate company fleet vehicles.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Completion of a formal HVAC Trade Program or equivalent technical certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated work experience within the mechanical and HVAC trade.
  • Experience with trade and customer service software Service Titan, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated field experience working with commercial refrigeration systems or light commercial equipment.
