Job description

Mobile Safety Ambassador

Job Type: Part-time, NON-EXEMPT

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour

Work Location: In-person (Greater Bay Area)

Availability Requirement: Open availability is required, including weekends and holidays.

Diligence Security Group is hiring Mobile Safety Ambassadors to serve as a visible and responsive presence across school campuses and community areas. This role requires strong communication, driving, and customer service skills to ensure the safety and comfort of students, staff, and the general public.

Mobile Safety Ambassadors will conduct vehicular patrols, transport individuals within designated areas, respond to safety concerns, and assist in maintaining a secure environment. Candidates must be approachable, observant, and committed to proactive engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (PREFERRED)

Experience in customer service, public safety, or transportation support roles

Prior experience working in public or educational settings preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid BSIS Guard Card (REQUIRED)

Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (REQUIRED)

CPR Certification (REQUIRED)

Preferred: De-escalation and Active Shooter Preparedness Certifications

Key Skills:

First-class communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service orientation

Technological proficiency (tablets, GPS, mobile reporting tools)

Situational awareness and professionalism in high-traffic areas

Position Duties:

Conduct vehicle patrols of designated zones on and around campuses

Provide shuttle/transport services for authorized individuals

Engage with the public in a courteous and helpful manner

Respond to safety concerns and notify dispatch of incidents or hazards

Monitor parking lots, access points, and high-traffic zones

Complete incident and shift reports accurately and in a timely manner

Assist with de-escalating non-violent conflicts when appropriate

Act as a liaison between campus personnel, the public, and supervisors

Physical Requirements

Ability to drive and sit for extended periods

Ability to assist individuals in and out of vehicles

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
