Maintenance Technician - Fleet Mechanic

Independence Corrugated , a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners and corrugated manufacturing industry leader, currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Mobile Fleet Mechanic in Oak Creek, WI. As a Mobile Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for all repairs Including fork trucks, clamp trucks, and various mobile equipment. Communicate with vendors on parts and work with our purchaser hand in hand using our work order system. Potentially involved with outdoor facility assignments (lawncare and snow removal).

Other Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintain and repair forklifts and clamp trucks and various other types of equipment and vehicles.
  • Keep accurate record of vehicle history within the company computer systems.
  • Communicate accurately & professionally with various departments on needs.
  • Take directions from supervisor.


Independence Corrugated requires the following skills & abilities:

  • Self-starter and ability to work on your own.
  • Experience and knowledge of working on a Forklift's electrical, hydraulic, welding and propane systems.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous mechanical and/or electrical experience, preferred.
  • Work order systems background, preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing type setting involving physical movement and lifting, preferred.
