Job Description
Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse
Profession: RN (Registered Nurse)
Specialty: GI/Endoscopy

Shift: 10H Days (4/10s)
Hours per Shift: 10
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy/GI lab experience
License: Current state license
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have:
- ERCP experience
- Strong hands-on/technical case experience
- Ability to hit the ground running
- Proficiency in Colonoscopy, biopsy, EGD, GI bleed, Fugi scopes, ERCP
- IV skills, admit/discharge experience
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
Description:
Admit patients for GI procedures.
Phase II recovery from propofol sedation.
Document nursing actions and assist with procedures.
Common cases include colonoscopy and EGD.
Workload is spread over an Admit RN, a Recovery RN, and a Procedure RN.
The unit has 2 suites, managing 15-18 patients per day.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor is onsite.
No mandatory call or standby requirement exists.
Limited call during weeknights and weekends, depending on contract.
Floating between departments is not required.
Scrubs are provided.
Orientation to the department is based on comfort level of the traveler.
The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks.
