Job description


Job Summary
Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in vehicles and machinery. They perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, replace faulty parts, and ensure engines operate efficiently and meet safety standards. This role often requires knowledge of diesel engine technology, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Essential Functions
• Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
• Inspect Equipment and Materials. Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors. Perform repairs to address problems when necessary.
• Handle and Move Objects. Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools in a safe manner throughout the shop and plant.
• Document and Record Information. Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed daily and monthly regarding all mobile equipment. Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobile equipment in written or electronic form.
• Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant to ensure production continues efficiently.
