Our challenge

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Solution Engineer with strong CI/CD, pipeline troubleshooting, and DevOps automation expertise. The ideal candidate is experienced with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes, and can confidently support migration and integration initiatives. Candidate are a problem solver, strong communicator, and trusted technical partner for application teams. We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to join our team and help deliver key initiatives Enable Capital Markets application teams to modernize and streamline their DevOps practices by migrating from legacy deployment approaches to scalable GitHub Actions-based CI/CD solutions. Support complex pipelines, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve automation across diverse application stacks. Drive reliable deployments, faster delivery, and stronger engineering standards in a high-impact enterprise environment.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, NS is CAD $90k - CAD $95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Support app teams to migrate from Jenkins, RLM or manual deployment to GitHub Actions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DevOps-related issues.
  • Create and debug CI/CD pipeline stages and workflows.
  • Implement automation/configurations for successful integration.
  • Write POM and Settings from scratch and work with various code bases.
  • Set up GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Diploma in IT with equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience creating and debugging pipeline stages.
  • Strong understanding of build systems and project types (Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET, MSBuild).
  • Ability to write POM and Settings files from scratch.
  • GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners.
  • Experience with tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, UCD, Ansible.
  • Jenkins pipelines (Declarative, Multibranch, Maven pipelines).
  • Troubleshooting Jenkins failures and configuration issues.
  • SonarQube configuration and usage.
  • CD tools like Terraform, UCD.
  • Ansible for configuration and deployment.
  • Docker and containerization (Dockerfiles, commands).
  • Kubernetes (clusters, namespaces, PV/PVC, Helm charts, kubectl deployments).
  • Troubleshooting Kubernetes issues (pods, logs, nodes, events).

Preferred, but not required:

  • CI/CD experience with NPM or NuGet.
  • Groovy pipeline scripting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Agile tools (JIRA, ServiceNow).
  • Scripting experience (Groovy, Shell, Python).
