Looking for a CDL driving job where you're more than just a wheel-holder? At Kozel Steel, our crane truck drivers are skilled operators who own the delivery - loading, securing, transporting, and placing structural steel exactly where our customers need it. You'll work with our narrow-cab trucks fitted with knuckle boom cranes, run local routes across Monroe County and western New York, and be home every night. Full training is provided, and we'll pay for your NCCCO crane operator certification.

What You'll Do
  • Load steel onto your truck using our overhead bridge cranes (training provided)
  • Secure cargo properly for safe over-the-road transport
  • Deliver product to customer job sites - typically across Monroe County and western NY
  • Set up and unload at job sites using your truck-mounted knuckle boom crane
  • Represent Kozel Steel directly with customers on site
  • Comply with all NYS Department of Transportation regulations

What We're Looking For
  • Valid CDL Class B license; able to operate a manual (standard) transmission
  • Clean driving record; able to pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • Self-starter who can work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Customer-friendly attitude - you'll be the face of Kozel on every delivery
  • Able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
  • Willing to work outdoors year-round in Rochester weather

Helpful, Not Required
  • Prior crane experience (mobile, knuckle boom, or overhead bridge)
  • NCCCO certification (we'll help you get it if you don't have one)
  • Forklift experience
  • Hydraulic equipment experience
  • Structural steel fabrication background
