Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Applications who will be an integral part of the IT organization to help define the development strategy for custom and mobile applications. The Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Applications in this position will be responsible for defining and implementing development practices for mobile development, including processes, standards, and tooling. They will also be responsible for aiding existing teams in adopting these practices.
The Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Applications will also work with product teams to design high quality, enterprise-wide mobile solutions that deliver value to our customers and International. Other responsibilities include working with other software engineers to define DevSecOps processes, implement enforcements of defined standards, participate in architecture reviews, and collaborate with other Enterprise teams.
Responsibilities
  • Define development strategy for custom and mobile applications
  • Establish and implement mobile development practices, standards, and tooling
  • Support teams in adopting mobile development best practices
  • Collaborate with product teams to design enterprise-wide mobile solutions
  • Contribute to defining DevSecOps processes and enforcing standards
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical planning
  • Work closely with other Enterprise teams and software engineers
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 8 years of software engineer experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
  • Master's degree
  • At least 6 years of software engineer experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
  • At least 10 years of software engineer experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
  • Deep understanding of mobile technologies: Android, iOS, and/or React Native using Swift, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
  • Beyond basic understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Beyond basic understanding of software architectures focused on mobile development including integrations patterns, REST API, microservices, and others.
  • Understanding of the Scrum Agile Lifecycle management.
  • Capability to establish and maintain a deep technical knowledge of technology products and services. Serve as subject matter expert when assisting clients and internal teams, including executive level, by identifying, defining, and recommending technical modifications, enhancements, and/or new strategies necessary for continuing the success of the products/services
  • Ability to develop a keen understanding of external customer needs and sprint/release schedules to effectively translate into solution deliverables.
  • Respond rapidly to changing requirements and new projects by dynamically adjusting priority, scope, timeline, and resources as appropriate.
  • Excellent writing and listening skills with a proven ability to disseminate information effectively and articulate your thoughts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of different audiences and strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to match technical solutions with customer business requirements
  • Ability to lead and motivate technical communities
  • Ability to effectively recognize and adapt to change
  • Ability to follow-up and drive for results/resolutions
