Job description

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator experienced in providing operational support for Pacific Air Forces (PACAF). This role requires skilled, technically knowledgeable, and experienced support to execute development for enhancements and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems and environments; and execute special projects. The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks with conflicting priorities in a team environment. Install, maintain, audit and support a secure MS Windows network environment and limited web/data application service. Additional responsibilities include: * Maintain VMware environment * Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system. * Interface with local customers and provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems * Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems. * Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access. * Perform periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement, firmware updates and system configuration changes * Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems. * Attend planning and requirements meetings with CDS Team, Program Managers and customers * Provide technical guidance Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Minimum 5 years of experience in requirements analysis, systems engineering, operations and maintenance, network/ systems administration, and configuration management. * Demonstrated at least 5 years' experience in Windows Server OS and Linux Red Hat+ administration/configuration. Candidate shall have extensive experience in Windows server administration tasks. * Experience with network and application security (e.g., encryption, SSL, auditing, etc.). * Extensive experience in Windows server administration tasks. * Extensive experience in performing root cause analysis in complex and distributed. * Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of management. * Possess the necessary people skills to identify requirements and deliver results. * Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, Cisco system administration and engineering experience supporting a production environment. * DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCPy) * Active Secret clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Familiarity with cross-domain technologies and requirements * Experience writing scripts, patching, updating systems, and responding to ATOs. * Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) is preferred. * Basic knowledge of Agile development Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
