About Covers and Legend

Here at Covers, we're a top digital media company in the sports betting industry, with a clear sense of purpose and a belief that success comes from the strength of our team and our culture.

We're proudly part of Legend. At Legend, we're building next-level player experiences. With 20+ years of proven success we're the world's leading Sports and Gaming marketing company.

Our people are our edge. 600+ sharp, ambitious Legends across 22+ countries who move fast, learn quickly and win together. Here growth isn't a perk, it's the standard. You'll stretch, level-up and carve out a career as bold as the products we build. We celebrate wins and create experiences that people talk about for years - for our players & for each other. If you're ready to shape the future of player experience and enjoy the ride while you do it, this is where you'll thrive.

The Role

We are looking for an App Developer, to join a small, highly collaborative mobile squad responsible for optimizing and evolving our sports app.

You'll primarily focus on creating engaging community experiences that keep users coming back - from social feeds and bet sharing to chat functionality and future interactive features. Beyond shipping new experiences, you'll help improve performance, optimize the app, and contribute to the technical direction of our React Native platform.

This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on a product that's central to our future growth, helping move users from web-first experiences to an app-first ecosystem.

You'll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering teammates and play an important role in shaping both the product and how the team builds it.

Your Impact
  • Build and evolve our mobile app: Develop, maintain, and optimize our React Native application using Expo, delivering high-quality features that support performance, scalability, and an exceptional user experience.
  • Create engaging community experiences: Design and deliver features such as social feeds, bet sharing, chat, and other interactive experiences that encourage users to engage with the app and keep coming back.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to transform ideas into intuitive, user-centric mobile experiences while contributing to technical discussions and architectural decisions.
  • Champion app quality and reliability: Monitor application health using Crashlytics, proactively troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve app performance, stability, and release quality.
  • Drive the growth of our mobile platform: Help establish React Native best practices, support other engineers as mobile development expands, and contribute to the technical direction of the app across squads.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years building mobile apps with React Native.
  • Strong expertise with React, Expo, EAS, and TypeScript.
  • Deep knowledge of iOS development, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and app distribution via TestFlight.
  • Proven experience with animations, performance optimization, and responsive mobile design.
  • Experience integrating third-party identity providers (e.g., Google, Apple) and handling secure authentication flows.
  • Proficiency with testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, Testing Library) and CI/CD workflows in agile environments.
  • Familiarity with Git, backend API integration, and client-side data management strategies.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Swift, Android development, Google Play distribution, or high-traffic consumer apps.
  • Understanding of geolocation, deep linking, and offline data strategies.
  • Background in sports, media, iGaming and high-traffic consumer apps.
The Interview Process
  • 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
  • 2nd: ILive coding task; Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2 (1 hour video via Zoom)
  • 3rd: Final interview with our team, Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2 (1 hour video via Zoom)
Why Legend?
  • Super smart colleagues to work alongside and learn from.
  • Engaging development opportunities at all levels.
  • Tailored flexibility for your work-life balance.
  • Annual discretionary bonus to reward your efforts.
  • Paid annual leave PLUS a well-deserved break to recharge your batteries during the festive season! Our offices are closed between Christmas and New Year's, allowing you to enjoy downtime without dipping into your annual allowance.
  • Exciting global Legend events, where we unite in person to ignite our shared passion and unveil the exciting strategies for the year ahead!

Unlock your full potential by joining the Legend team. To support you on this journey, we provide an extensive array of benefits and perks, as outlined in our global offerings above. For country specific benefits please reach out to your talent partner.
